This Privacy Policy describes how the LinkToDrive Add-on ("the Add-on", "we", "us", or "our") handles information. This Add-on is developed and maintained by an individual developer.

We want to be absolutely clear: We do not collect, store, or transmit any personal data or information from users.

Specifically, we do not:

  • Collect or store file URLs you input
  • Save or retain file names you specify
  • Store folder selections or Drive folder information
  • Log user interactions or usage patterns
  • Collect personal identification information
  • Store authentication tokens beyond the session
  • Retain any data after the add-on session ends
  • Access or store the content of files you upload
  • Monitor or track your usage behavior

Information Processed Locally ​

The Add-on processes the following information locally within your browser session and Google Apps Script environment only:

  1. File URLs: URLs you provide are processed temporarily to fetch and upload files to your Google Drive
  2. File Names: Names you specify for uploaded files are used only for the upload process
  3. Folder Selection: Your chosen destination folder is used only to complete the upload
  4. Google Drive Access: The Add-on accesses your Google Drive solely to list folders and upload files

How We Use Information ​

The Add-on uses the temporarily processed information solely for the following purposes:

  1. File Upload Functionality: To fetch files from provided URLs and upload them to your selected Google Drive folder
  2. Folder Management: To display available folders in your Google Drive for selection
  3. Error Handling: To provide appropriate feedback if uploads fail or URLs are invalid
  4. Content Validation: To detect if URLs point to web pages instead of direct files

Data Storage and Retention ​

We do not store any data. All operations are performed in real-time within your browser session and Google's Apps Script environment. Once you close the add-on or complete an upload, no trace of your data remains in our systems.

Third-Party Services ​

This Add-on integrates with:

  1. External URLs: When you provide URLs for file uploads

    NOTE

    When you provide URLs for file upload, the Add-on will make requests to those URLs to fetch file content. We are not responsible for the content, security, or privacy practices of external websites or services you choose to access through URL inputs.

Your Rights and Control ​

You have complete control over:

  • What URLs you choose to input
  • What files you choose to upload
  • Which Google Drive folder you select as destination
  • When and how you use the Add-on

You can:

  • Stop using the Add-on at any time
  • Revoke the Add-on's permissions through your Google Account settings
  • Delete any files uploaded through the Add-on from your Google Drive

Security Measures ​

We implement the following security measures:

  1. Google's Security Infrastructure: The Add-on runs within Google's secure Apps Script environment
  2. No External Data Transmission: All data processing occurs within Google's ecosystem
  3. Minimal Permission Requests: The Add-on requests only necessary permissions to function

Changes to This Privacy Policy ​

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify users of any material changes by:

  1. Updating the "Last Updated" date at the top of this policy
  2. Posting updates in the Add-on description on Google Workspace Marketplace

Continued use of the Add-on after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated Privacy Policy.
