Terms of Service ​

1. Agreement to Terms ​

By installing, accessing, or using the LinkToDrive Add-on ("the Add-on", "Service"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service ("Terms"). If you disagree with any part of these terms, you may not use the Add-on.

This Add-on is developed and maintained by an individual developer ("Developer", "we", "us", or "our"), not by an organization or company.

2. Description of Service ​

The LinkToDrive Add-on is a Google Sheets extension that allows users to upload files from URLs directly to their Google Drive. The Service provides:

  • File upload functionality from user-provided URLs
  • Google Drive folder selection and management
  • Basic file validation and error handling
  • User interface for managing uploads

3. User Responsibilities and Obligations ​

3.1 URL Content Responsibility ​

YOU ARE SOLELY AND ENTIRELY RESPONSIBLE FOR ALL URLS YOU INPUT INTO THE ADD-ON. This includes but is not limited to:

  • Content Verification: You must verify that URLs point to legitimate, safe, and legal content
  • Malware and Security: You are responsible for ensuring URLs do not contain malware, viruses, or other malicious content
  • Legal Compliance: You must ensure all URLs and their content comply with applicable laws and regulations
  • Copyright and Intellectual Property: You are responsible for ensuring you have the right to download and store content from provided URLs
  • Harmful Content: You must not use URLs that point to illegal, harmful, offensive, or inappropriate content

3.2 Acceptable Use ​

You agree to:

  • Use the Add-on only for lawful purposes
  • Not attempt to circumvent any security measures
  • Not use the Service to upload illegal, harmful, or malicious content
  • Respect intellectual property rights and copyright laws
  • Comply with Google's Terms of Service and Google Drive policies
  • Not overload or abuse the Service with excessive requests

3.3 Prohibited Uses ​

You may not use the Add-on to:

  • Upload copyrighted material without proper authorization
  • Distribute malware, viruses, or other harmful software
  • Access or upload illegal content including but not limited to pirated software, copyrighted media, or prohibited materials
  • Violate any local, state, national, or international law or regulation
  • Harass, abuse, or harm others through uploaded content
  • Impersonate others or misrepresent your identity or affiliation

4. Disclaimers and Limitations of Liability ​

4.1 No Warranty ​

THE ADD-ON IS PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE" WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, WHETHER EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO:

  • Warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, or non-infringement
  • That the Service will be uninterrupted, timely, secure, or error-free
  • That any defects will be corrected
  • That the Service is free of viruses or other harmful components

4.2 Limitation of Liability ​

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, THE DEVELOPER SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY DAMAGES WHATSOEVER, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO:

  • Direct, indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages
  • Loss of profits, data, use, goodwill, or other intangible losses
  • Damages resulting from URLs you choose to input or files you choose to upload
  • Any harm caused by malicious or inappropriate content accessed through user-provided URLs
  • Security breaches or data loss from external sources
  • Interruption of business or loss of information
  • Any damages arising from your use or inability to use the Service

THE TOTAL LIABILITY OF THE DEVELOPER SHALL NOT EXCEED ZERO DOLLARS ($0.00) AS THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED FREE OF CHARGE.

4.3 External Content Disclaimer ​

THE DEVELOPER HAS NO CONTROL OVER AND ACCEPTS NO RESPONSIBILITY FOR:

  • The content, accuracy, or availability of external URLs you provide
  • The security, legality, or appropriateness of content accessed through user-provided URLs
  • Any damages or losses resulting from accessing external websites or downloading their content
  • Third-party websites' privacy practices or terms of service
  • The consequences of uploading content from external sources to your Google Drive

5. Indemnification ​

You agree to indemnify, defend, and hold harmless the Developer from and against all claims, damages, costs, and expenses (including reasonable attorneys' fees) arising from or related to:

  • Your use of the Add-on
  • URLs you provide to the Service
  • Content you upload through the Service
  • Your violation of these Terms
  • Your violation of any rights of another party
  • Any claim that content you uploaded through the Service caused damage to a third party

6. Privacy and Data Handling ​

The Developer does not collect, store, or retain any user data. All processing occurs locally within your Google environment. For complete details, see our Privacy Policy.

Important: While we do not collect your data, you are responsible for the data you choose to access and upload through the Service.

7. Service Availability ​

7.1 No Guarantee of Availability ​

We do not guarantee that the Add-on will be available at all times. The Service may be unavailable due to:

  • Maintenance or updates
  • Technical difficulties
  • Google platform changes
  • Third-party service interruptions
  • Force majeure events

7.2 Modifications and Discontinuation ​

We reserve the right to:

  • Modify, suspend, or discontinue the Service at any time without notice
  • Update these Terms of Service
  • Change the functionality or features of the Add-on
  • Remove the Add-on from Google Workspace Marketplace

8. Intellectual Property ​

8.1 User Content ​

You retain all rights to content you upload through the Add-on. However, you grant us the right to process such content solely for the purpose of providing the Service.

9. Termination ​

9.1 Termination by User ​

You may stop using the Add-on at any time by:

  • Uninstalling the Add-on from Google Sheets
  • Revoking permissions through your Google Account settings

9.2 Termination by Developer ​

We may terminate or suspend your access to the Add-on immediately, without prior notice, if you violate these Terms.

10. Governing Law and Jurisdiction ​

These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with applicable laws. Any disputes arising from these Terms or the use of the Add-on shall be resolved in accordance with the applicable legal procedures.

11. Severability ​

If any provision of these Terms is deemed invalid or unenforceable, the remaining provisions shall remain in full force and effect.

12. Changes to Terms ​

We reserve the right to modify these Terms at any time. Changes will be effective when posted. Your continued use of the Add-on after changes constitutes acceptance of the new Terms.

13. Acknowledgment ​

BY USING THE ADD-ON, YOU ACKNOWLEDGE THAT:

  • You have read, understood, and agree to these Terms
  • You are solely responsible for all URLs and content you process through the Service
  • The Developer bears no responsibility for your choices regarding URLs or uploaded content
  • You use the Service at your own risk
  • These Terms constitute the entire agreement between you and the Developer
